[Melanie's Kathleen] is an extremely complicated character, Main said throughout a panel at Brazil's CCXP convention. She's a fantastic actor, and we required someone who might represent somebody that was doing horrible things, but then when you are familiar with her, you comprehended why and in fact felt for her. One of the things that [The Last of United States video game writer and series co-creator Neil Luckmann] created with the game was this viewpoint that nobody's ever simply great, nobody is ever simply wicked; we have the capability to do both. And Melanie Lindsay plays someone that I think you're gonna dislike, and then you're gonna love..

One, she'll do anything in her hunt for Henry, who she thinks is accountable for her brother's death. The thing I found very interesting about her is, when she did step into the role, she didn't have a lot of guilt about doing bad things, whereas her bro did.

The residents of the KC QC are the show's variation of the game's Hunters, territorial gangs who hunt tourists: victims who are eliminated and robbed for trespassing in the quarantine zone they took from FEDORA (in the game, it's the Pittsburgh QC.) Like Joel-- a hardened survivor whose hands are far from tidy-- there are tones of gray in Kathleen. And a lot more still to find out.

Sunday's episode of The Last of Us, entitled Please Hold My Hand, takes a detour to Kansas City, Missouri, as Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) try to reach Joel's bro Tommy (Gabriel Luna) someplace near Cody, Wyoming. In her approach to playing an initial character who isn't in the computer game, the Yellow jackets star saw Kathleen as being an individual that you might dismiss, that you may not be always afraid of until you all of a sudden realize, 'Oh sh-t! This is somebody who I'm supposed to be the most afraid of.'.

One, she'll do anything in her hunt for Henry, who she believes is accountable for her bro's death. He told me that her bro was essentially Jesus. Like, envision growing up as the brother or sister of Jesus and being like, 'My brother's the biggest human being.

Lindsay continued: You are forced to step into a function that you never ever asked for, and you don't think you're really great at. The thing I discovered really fascinating about her is, when she did step into the role, she didn't have a lot of regret about doing bad things, whereas her bro did.

I wanted her to feel like a sweet person, and then to have an unexpected capacity for violence, Lindsay explained. I believed the difference between how she carries herself and how she speaks and the things she's doing would be fascinating..
